Who were the Scythians?
The Scythian mummies are the bodies of a nomadic, warrior race. They lived in southern Russia from around the 8th to 3rd century B.C.E. They were exceptionally skilled in the art of horsemanship and they had a rich culture due to their Iranian heritage. These two factors led to the creation of their empire. The empire stretched through southern Russia, Mongolia, parts of China, and Kazakhstan.
